Amazon.com deleted all but 3 of the "My Pet Goat" reviews

...for those of you who felt that it was too good to last...it was. There were over 50 reviews out there yesterday.

The irony is that all three of the remaining reviews have a Bush reference. Go figure.

Amazon SUCKS. These were funny, creative reviews. There was NO profanity at ALL, no threats, no sex, nothing but the concept of the Idiot Boy King enjoying a children's book while 3,000 people from around the world lost their lives.

Did I mention that Amazon SUCKS?

This book is not the hungry hungry caterpillar, it is called The My Pet Goat Book. It is about a goat. A pet goat. Not a caterpillar. At first I culd not read it but after Mr. Cheney sat me on his knee and read it to me, well I think I understands it. It's about a goat, NOT a hungry hungry caterpillar. I could look at this book for hours and hours. I like books about goats. I hear there is a story about me and goats out on the web and I look forward to reeding that one, too. I would give this book 5 stars. Remember, all you children left behind, Edumacation is Important. Well, bye for now, bye bye, Vote Republican!

Amazon is rotten to authors, too. They suck in more ways that one. I'll window shop on Amazon and then buy elsewhere.

10. New reviews were being added daily, and 98 people "rated" mine...

...so I think you're right. I think they saw a "trend" and tried to discourage it.

My first indication that this would happen came when people stopped getting "10 out of 10 readers found this review helpful" ratings. I'm guessing someone complained...that's usually how reviews get yanked. I seriously doubt that Amazon invests any time and effort in policing the reviews unless someone taps them on the shoulder first.

12. Luckily, I printed out the reviews BEFORE the deletions. . .

and showed them to fellow party-goers at our local MoveOn-dot-org party re the showing of "Outfoxed". Gales of laughter all around.
