Copernicus was a LIE-beral with books to sell. So he defied what is clearly self-evident, and chose to make shit up in order to make some cash.

And the Sun was in on this charade too. Being that the Sun was worshiped for eons, it doesn't like the role as second banana. I'm not positive, but I can smell the stink of the U.N. being involved in this farce.

It just makes sense. Why would a white christian god make a pagan egotistical Sun its center? People would think that they were just another creature roaming the Terra with all other beasts.
