1. Is Herion a fish?
I was a fan years ago, but slowly realized that I do not like this woman. Since then, I've seen 'Kurt and Courtney'. I don't think she murdered him, but the harpy probably helped drive him to it. I was also disgusted with the ACLU in that movie.

22. I loved El Duce in that movie
he rawked!

Then he was hit by a train when he either steped in front of it, or was pushed....and died :(

2. Christ on a Pogo Stick!
If I were married to a tiresome c*nt like her, I'dve stuck a shotgun in my mouth too!

Reminds me of a mid-80's joke....

Q: Why is Yoko Ono like a parasitic wasp?
A: They both make a living off of dead beetles.

6. Cherchez la femme
Not a huge Courtney fan but the misogynistic venom directed at her (as at Yoko) is very tiresome. It says more about the speaker than the subject.

7. Unfair Poll - you're splitting the talentless vote.
Edited on Thu Aug-28-03 07:53 PM by Nailzberg
I voted for "Killed her husband and profited from his death" but just as easily could have voted for "No talent whatsoever", "Britney Spears on herion", or "Only famous b/c of Kurt Cobain."

27. I love Live Through This,
But yeah, rumors persist that Cobain did a lot to help those songs along, even if he didn't write them outright.

11. I don't really care for her music
but I read a great article she penned that someone posted here about online file trading. (Sorry, I don't have the link, it's been quite a while.) I gained a lot of respect for her after reading it.

15. That was a great article
But then I saw that documentary where she's leaving deranged answering machine messages threatening people. She's quite intelligent, but she's also a vicious bitch on a huge ego-trip. No love here.

19. my old navy friend from seattle called her......
...the widow cobain...her acting career got a boost by playing a heroin junkie...kinda like r. lee ermy playing a DI...ahhh, parrallels...she fought tooth and nail with the remaining members of nirvana over some canned songs, like they were ever hers to begin with...fist-fights with other girl bands...anything to get on the news.

she is a walking, talking, living, 02 stealing douche bag.

i will give her credit for keeping cobains daughter out of the lime-light, but thats an instinct any mom should have. she's a coat-tail rider, and when the coat-tails were buried, she squeezed more much out of her 15 mins. than anyone ever thought possible...glad they are waning now

14. I really like Courtney
and always have. Pretty on the Inside and Live Through This stand up nicely against Nevermind and In Utero. I'm appalled by the anti-woman bashing on this thread. She's no "Yoko" and, for that matter, neither is Ms. Ono.

I've seen Hole in concert many times and she has the goods. You may not like her music but she puts on a hell of a show. And in a world of Britneys, Christinas and American Idol, I'll take Love any day of the week.

there's no god-made-law that everybody has to love her (as I do *g*).

I'am impressed, in europe, it's very difficult to see her ;)
And I don't understand why some people here think she was only famous by Curt? Nirvana is good music and a part of my youth, but Courtney, that's emotion. Until today I really love her and like to hear her music. There are only two other women which I can call with the same breath, Kim Deal from the Pixies and Kim Gordon from Sonic Youth.
(sorry for bad expression)

never made a good one before, will probably never make another one.

18. Well, I guess every generation needs a Nancy Spungen
"Oh, goddammit Sid, wake up..."

I really despise that woman. I am relatively certain she is to a debatable extent mentally damaged. Or maybe that's just the drugs.

An alright actress though. She's no Olivier, but she's okay.

Edited on Fri Aug-29-03 12:22 AM by khephra
Unfortunately all the good songs were written by Kurt.

I don't dislike her...I just don't find her songs interesting.

But if she was a guy then she'd be called the next Sid by the fanboys and fangirls.

25. Well she's in real rough shape right now. She is probably gonna end up
like KC shortly at the rate she's going.

She can't finish her album, she's broke, blew through ALL the $$, she is plowing through every sort of drug on the planet at top speed, her record co dropped her, no one wants to put a tour together. When she's sober, she's in an extremely critical mental state that defies the imagination. The chick needs help in the WORST way, but no one can get through to her. It's real, real sad... she's toast. No one knows what to do for her... it's so sad. Odd you brought this up right now.

where did you get the info?

On edit: if this piece is to be believed, she does seem to be doing a lot of obnoxious things and apologizing for them.
