What high school sports did you play?
Edited on Tue Jul-13-04 02:19 PM by HEyHEY
I was on the Roller hockey team and on the Snowboarding team. I was in Drama as well. I always told my parents I was doing the lights, so they wouldn't come to the plays.

I had D-1AA scholarships on the board too, but I had reconstructive shoulder surgery, which promptly ended my athletic career.

Just kidding. I stopped playing because I played football for the hell of it. I didn't want to be a football player when I "grew up".

I want to be a volcanologist. :)

Edited on Tue Jul-13-04 02:36 PM by sirjwtheblack
You should've run faster!

On edit: Of course, if you ran up the middle on me, I guess you didn't have a chance anyway. Teams literally give up on running up the middle after the first quarter. Of course, our ends fucking blew, so running to the outside was a far better option, but that's beside the point.

I worked with the athletic trainer...still do (its my major ya know) but I love sports but have no talent what so ever. Its really the ideal situation for me, plus Ive never paid admission for a single sporting event in HS or college. Even when I wasn't working, after a while all the ticket people get to know you

I was never terribly good at it, but I managed to make our HS team and we did fairly well. I was a great sprinter when I was younger and I'm sure that the coach just wanted me to be the teams designated runner. Everyone told me back then to try out for track, but I never had the time (I was a geek in HS).

I didn't have too bad of a record either. I won half the bouts I fought. Considering that I was in the heavyweight group, that's actually pretty impressive.

(HW is the only group that isn't a ten to twenty pound range. I had to go up against people that were 100 pounds heavier than me. Needless to say, those were the people who usually cleaned my clock.)
