1. Tylenol PM plus exactly one beer/glass of red wine.
You will have no chance after that, but don't do that more than once in any month.

and i dont like the idea of sleeping pills, it somehow seems unnatural to me... ive been an insomnaic since the age of 5, and nothing ive tried myself has worked.

7. think about the Grand Canyon in human years....
...man how long did it take to do that and didn't they get any sleep digging it out did they you think - but I mean it must have taken quite awhile and it's such a yawning chasm I mean it's so big and it reminds me of a big pair of yawning jaws stretching for miles and miles amid eons and eons of hard work making it happen with no sleep at all with waters flowing freely securely whispering sweet love mes into your ear as you ponder their reason and fall into fog wondering why there are sheep who live at the bottom and gently refrain from singing too loud because life is so quiet and there's nothing to think but the age of the world and it seems all the same for it's all that there is as one could imagine but comes no sleep at all for those who would ponder the meaning of man the somnabulist who dreams of perfection aplenty but bides away the times of eternity awonder...

3. Not to be insulting
because I totally love the guy and his work, but his voice has the soothing sonouresness of the somnambulist - listening to Garrison Keillor is a good way to get into the mood to sleep.

Or perhaps an audio book of any kind could be helpful. I should think listening to a recording of someone reading, in KJV, the book of Deuteronomy or Proverbs, would be quite a sleep inducer.

Otherwise, can't offer you much. I'm not one who's had to deal with not being able to sleep very often. Though I seem to have it tonight, but I think the martini I just poured will help with that one. And the fact that I didn't get up until almost 2 pm this afternoon is, i think, a good reason for me not being able to sleep. :-)

best of luck to you! I don't know firsthand, but I know from the experiences, what a pain in the ass perpetual insomnia is. My empathy to you.
