I'll have running water this winter!!!
Some of you know that I put my house in Mass. on the market last June and moved to my log cabin in the woods in NH. It took forever to sell my house so I ended up spending last winter in the cabin. After the first freeze at the end of October, the water gets turned off here and the toilet gets flushed manually (I was in Mass three times a week to visit my mom and check on my house so I did get to shower, in case you were wondering!). I got used to it and actually enjoyed it...bottled water and all...until one morning when it was windchill -40 that I noticed that the dog's water bowl had frozen! Anyway, I made it through. Yesterday I found a little condo in the next town...very reasonably priced and in just perfect condition. Now I can get my stuff out of storage and spend a warm winter up here. I'm very happy! :-)

3. OOOOOOOOH, fresh home grown salad greens!
You are so lucky. My garden is finally in but not doing much yet...except the potato plants which are about 1 1/2 feet tall!

5. I'm happy for you, Raven.

Prior to moving in here 1 1/2 yrs. ago, I lived aboard a small sailboat at a mooring for more than 12 years, and had to haul all my water. There were also times in my life (Honduras, Afghanistan) when all my water came from a well and had to be boiled. Running water is a marvellous luxury. Mine comes in hot and cold flavors, and I even have a bathtub! Congratulations!
