I hate threads that

give no indication as to their content in the subject line, and then you have to click them to find out what the poster is talking about only to find that it's either not what you thought or something you have no interest in reading.

example:

(subject line)

What's with all these damn

or,

Can somebody please tell me why

or,

has this ever happened to you?

or finally,

here's what i think

this type of cryptic subject line is a huge waste of time and bandwidth, much like this very post.

so please people, for the sake of all that's holy and decent in the world, don't start subject lines like, 'what the hell is this?', or, 'why is it that some people just can't' on DU anymore.

10. That's WHY people make subject lines like that. Sometimes a response

isn't pithy enough or the poster has something big, revelating, or merely obnoxious to say and wants to pique everybody's interest. O8)

After all, I am more inclined to take the carrot rather than to read a one line pity comment that's often followed up with "n/t" and the author never bothering to explain his or her self as to why they said/believe that.
