MINARDI SCORED A POINT!!!! (U.S. Grand Prix race)
Whoo-hoo!

Okay, I'm a little behind the times, but I didn't get a chance to watch the US Grand Prix until last night.

Glad Ralphie is okay. That was a scary crash.

Any other formula one fans have comments?

1. Hurray for attrition!
Another few laps and Minardi might have won.

4. Hey! There's something to be said for survival!
Mindardi is an example of "slow and steady wins the race".

They're out there every race weekend working their little hearts out with a fraction of a regular team buget and they usually finish!

I love Minardi -- they've got heart.
So there!
:P

2. Yes. The rules apparently don't apply to Der Chinmeister.
He passed Barrichello at the green flag BEFORE the finish line.

Also, the emergency team was horribly slow. I can think of quite a few accidents in which the driver survived, but wouldn't if emergency care was this nullwitted.

Also, Sato rocks.

5. Agree about the emergency response
That was an agonizing wait. Inexcusable!
It made the American organizers look pretty amateurish---and even worse---dangerous.

Sato DOES rock!

Button is my favorite driver, but Sato is um, catching up!
As David Hobbs put it, "That boy's got some big attachements!"
