Poll question: Favorite AC/DC song...
Edited on Sun Jun-20-04 01:51 AM by porkrind
AC/DC rocks!!! One of the greatest rock bands of all time. What could be cooler than Angus Young in his school uniform rocking out and flipping his head? Nothing. That's right, NOTHING is cooler. AC/DC simply rocks!!!

Now that we have that settled, what's your favorite song?...

1. Hell's Bells
I'm a rolling thunder, a pouring rain
I'm comin' on like a hurricane
My lightning's flashing across the sky
You're only young but you're gonna die

I won't take no prisoners, won't spare no lives
Nobody's putting up a fight
I got my bell, I'm gonna take you to hell
I'm gonna get you, Satan get you

CHORUS:
Hell's Bells
Yeah, Hell's Bells
You got me ringing Hell's Bells
My temperature's high, Hell's Bells

I'll give you black sensations up and down your spine
If you're into evil you're a friend of mine
See my white light flashing as I split the night
'Cause if good's on the left, then I'm stickin' to the right

I won't take no prisoners, won't spare no lives
Nobody's puttin' up a fight
I got my bell, I'm gonna take you to hell
I'm gonna get you, Satan get you

CHORUS

4. From their first album, in 1974 (released only in Australia)
Soul Stripper

Well, I met her in the garden
Underneath that old apple tree
Sitting with a handful of flowers
Looking as cool as can be
We talked away a couple of hours
Then she laid her hand on my lap
Oh, I thought I got to be dreaming
I didn't know I fell in her trap

CHORUS:
Then she made me say things I didn't want to say
Then she made me play games I didn't want to play
She was a soul stripper, she took my heart
Soul stripper, and tore me apart

She started moving nice and easy
Slowly getting into my spine
Killing off this nice little feeling
Ooooh, everyone she could find
And when she had me hollow and naked
That's when she put me down
Pulled out a knife and flashed it before me
Stuck it in and turned it around

CHORUS:
Then she made me say things I didn't want to say
Then she made me play games I didn't want to play
She was a soul stripper, she took my heart
Soul stripper, and tore me apart

9. Whole Lotta Rosie
Ain't no fairy story
Ain't no skin and bones
But you got to give it all you got
Weighin' in at nineteen stone

for the unenlightened among you, 19 stone = 266 pounds.

For the record, I saw AC/DC five times in concert. YES INDEED!

16. Picture this ... <yeah like the old broad says on Golden Girls>
Springtime 1991, driving across the rickety old highway crossing the Isthmus of Panama (Atlantic to the Pacific side of DA Country)blaring AC/DC tunes "Thunderstruck" and "Rock Your Little Heart Out" from my Toyota Camry stereo speakers.

Damn! Those were the daze.
I'm lucky to be alive. <eg>

21. Too many great songs to pick just one, but if I had to,
I'd probably go with "Whole Lotta Rosie"--I can't stay still to that one. Then of course, there's "You Shook Me," and "Shoot to Thrill," and "The Jack," and "Big Balls," and--I'd better quit now or I'll be here listing songs all day.

anything with bon scott really. i can't discount brian johnsons contributions though. after all, he sang on their biggest albums. "flick of the switch" is a very underappreciated album...
