1. I'm leaving in an hour or so
to go see Robert Randolph & Family. Woohooo...I'm psyched, those guys rock.

Good bands in the choices, but I would add Galactic to the list. IMO they are the baddest of all jam bands.

I'm more psyched to see Robert Randolph than I am to see Dave Matthews.

<ON EDIT> They are playing at UMB Pavillion in St. Louis tonight.

2. Where's String Cheese Incident? Galactic?
Other bands favored by the DU - I found out about them from DUers! They're no Grateful Dead, who still reigns supreme, but they're pretty good!

7. Of the bands of I've seen on that list, Phish.
Very good list of bands there WillPitt. About time someone had a poll about jam music.

Of the bands of I've seen on that list though(phish, string cheese, moe, disco biscuits), Phish is my choice. They got me into the whole jamband scene to begin with.

Grateful Dead would be an obvious choice, but I've only seen the Other Ones, so I didn't get to experience them in their prime.

A band to checkout(if you're into jambands): Ekoostik Hookah.

12. Got to go with the Brothers
especially after seeing them jam with Little Feat - what an amazing show that was! (unfortunately it was the early 90s - well after Lowell George)

13. I've never heard Widespread Panic
but a student came up to me after class on Tuesday night, and told me that she has a CD she wants me to borrow, that she studied for the Aztec portion of the midterm by listening to their song Montezuma.

She said she has been to over SEVENTY of their shows...she really adores them...I need to learn more about them, I guess.
