Just tried "C2", the half-the-sugar, half-the-calories version of Coke
Edited on Sat Jun-19-04 05:19 PM by Paragon
Sounds gimmicky, I know - but I think I actually like it better than the original -- it isn't as numb-your-tongue sweet and carbonated, which means you can actually taste the cola in the, um...cola.

But yes, the name sucks.

1. Good grief, that reminds me of T2...
The silver morphing impossible-to-kill android... Not sure why, it just does.

4. Boing!
I wondered what that font for the "C2" reminded me of -- now I know. If it isn't the exact same font & color scheme as the "T2" logo, it's damn close.

10. They forgot to add to the slogan:
1/2 the cals
1/2 the carbs
2X the price!

:D

3. I like those too
But even better are their fruit-flavored SmartWaters, which are just plain water with a fruit infusion (no calories, no sugar, just a hint of taste). I find that drinking tons of water each day bores me, so I like both the VitaminWater & the fruit SmartWater to liven things up a bit.

7. I'll have to try it
I love coca-cola but admittedly sometimes it does get too sweet after consecutive cans.

8. I tried the C2 today. I wasn't impressed. Tasted rather bland.
But then again, I don't much like soda to begin with. Pepsi has an entry into the low-carb market too... Pepsi Edge.

9. Still trying to figure out
Why they went to a mix of sucralose and Nutrasweet.

I'm allergic to Nutrasweet, so I was hoping they'd done the right thing.

I'll stick with Diet Rite and Hansen's, I guess.

14. Soda is very bad for your teeth
and not just because of the sugar either, my dentist told me no soda diet or otherwise. The phosphoric acid eats away at the enamel.

15. Bushing one's teeth immediately after drinking sodapop or fruit is bad.
Because of the acidic action against the enamel. Waiting 30 minutes helps, but no sodapop is for the best, no argument there. :-)

Unless it's through a straw where it can't touch the toothies. :D
