What internet abbreviations irritate you the most?
My pick is LOL. How often in you life (unless you're on menwholooklikekennyrogers.com or something) do you laugh out loud at what someone has to say online? The only time I LOL is if I see something funny on television. Anyone else?

5. I don't like LOL either.
It bothers me. And so does "ROFL". This is strange, though, because I use these abbreviations all the time...

16. I like "ROFL"
but only because I read it as "ra-full" instead of reading it as an acronym

6. Actually, LOL is the one I hate most, too. It's used
far more often to indicate that a post is in good humor than it is to indicate uproarious laughter. Example: "I know you're a Yankees fan, but I'd rather brush my teeth with a bandsaw than go to the Bronx for a game, LOL."

10. Just picture yourself LOLing
everytime you type LOl...you realize how stupid it sounds.

Before I met my wife, I was chatting with a female on line who used "LOL" after every sentence. It was unnerving.

13. I walked a mile in your shoes, and
had to explain to this girl that I'd rather see OR hear her put the word "like" in each sentence five times ("It was, like, so, like, cook, like you know what I, like, mean?") than type LOL after it. She got all offended, but the way things have gotten, LOL should only be used where people nowadays use ROFLMAO.

20. I absolutely HATE it when people use one letter to indicate a word
For example if they say "how r u doing?" instead of "How are you doing?" It drives me crazy and is the epitome of laziness!

But, if someone hunt and pecks very slowly when they type, I can understand why they do it. If you can touch type, there is no excuse.

Cliquey? Lazy? I dunno, but it's like deciphering a puzzle. 'LOL!'
