I thought it was funny and entertaining. They made it a fluffy, campy-type comedy. If you liked the Charlie's Angels movies, you might like this one. If you don't like seeing something as light as that at the theater, it would make a good rental for a Friday night when you want to watch something silly.

I once visited "Celebration" down in Orlando and that town was very close to Stepford. There is some awfully weird stuff that goes on in our country, and who knows? Robots might explain it. How else can you explain the people on the cable news?

1. Well, considering the amount of animatronics at Disney...
and that the town was/is owned by Disney or was their conceptual idea, probably not a big stretch! A "planned community" dontcha know....

2. I was afraid of that.
Somehow I can't see anything really funny about this topic.

4. Well, I wouldn't say they took all the bite out of it,
the way that "Rollerball" did. It was still very critical of the mindless conformity, but did it in a more lighthearted way. Sometimes I think that is better than a heavy touch.

3. My friend used to live in the town they filmed that in.
Now I think THAT is sort of creepy.

5. Laura, Babs, Nancy...they were all out in force, but they were
gone by the weekend.

Which Stepford Wives are you referring to?
