Hey all--

Last night's event was so very entertaining and worthwhile! We had a great time at Blue Mesa Grill, had tons of fun. Thanks everyone for showing up! You guys are the best!

Special thanks to ginbarn and derby378 for bringing us the wonderful cake! And to BeHereNow for joining us all the way from L.A! (but not for providing the politically-hostile, sister's Croatian boyfriend! :P)

Here are the first 3 pix from my camera. Derby has more to follow (definitely the more entertaining roll! You'll see why when he posts them!)

Talked with a friend that moved to Kalamazoo today......It is good they are gone, we miss them lots though....... along with our friends that have move to Costa Rica and to Canada......We're next........where we land, nobody knows........ It was lots of fun meeting up with other Dallas area DU'ers and it was great fun having BHN drop in from California...(although I must say, she is quite the corrupting influence, hence the porn...just kidding). BHN was the life of the party until her sister showed up with the aforementioned "boyfriend" from "hell". We all felt very sorry for her sister.......BHN's sister is a little sweetheart hooked up with a neanderthal from the dark ages. We all just wish we had more time and more opportunities to join together. See Scott Ritter and www.dallaspeacecenter.org for your next opportunity.

After that I think something else should be in the planning stages, but FSC and Reprehensor seem to be committed to a "Halloween" event...

Watch out for the Dallas DU'ers, we'll be back...............

There's plenty to miss about Dallas - starting with Dallas DUers!

We got the Hall of State at Fair Park, plus Reunion Tower and that green neon thing downtown that Andy Warhol liked. Our football and hockey teams done us proud in the past, too...

9. derby's party report

OK, we had a small but mighty crowd at Blue Mesa on Saturday night. We wound up exchanging goodies with each other while munching on some great Tex-Mex, but we saved this for dessert:

BTW - We can buy hard-liquor at Jewel, even on Sunday as long as it's after noon.

21. That's what I loved about Illinois.

When my mom and I were up there in 89, we had to run to the drugstore, and they were selling booze there as happy as you please!

We had to pick up some mini-bottles of Bailey's to make the "hole" motel my aunt booked us into not quite as disgusting.

with her was a fright to be sure, most of all we (at least Dave and I felt most sorry for her and the position she found herself in). Dave likened it to an attack, they weren't expecting and within just a few minutes they never knew what hit. For heaven's sake, 10 DU'ers, including you, trying to change his mind? What were we thinking? It must have been those evil Margaritas they kept giving us. You think? :hi:

Some of the Austin DUers are planning to see Farenheit 911 together. Maybe we can get together and have some fun like that too. I will bring my digital camera and ask Mrs bearfan how to use it.
