2 Year Old Survives 80 Foot Fall
<snip>

A 2-year-old in Southfield plummeted almost 80 feet straight down, but managed to escape any serious injury thanks to the bushes that broke his fall.

Surviving a fall from a 7-story window is amazing, but getting up and walking away with only a few cuts and bruises is almost unbelievable.

Yet, this is exactly what happened to a 2-year-old boy in Southfield late Thursday afternoon.

Nick Owens, of Southfield Fire Rescue, told 7 Action News, "Something happened and the screen came out, and the child followed the screen out, approximately 75 to 80 feet. He landed in some bushes, and then hit the ground."

The bushes were thick and high, and Owens concurred that they saved the child’s life by breaking his fall.

1. The fact that he's little was also on his side.
Poor kid. Where the hell was his mother and father?
