Radio Auto Commercials 'Small-Print' Babble... WHY DO THEY BOTHER?
Can you understand it? Not I. --- I'm guessing that in doing so, these folks are meeting some legal requirements suggested by their lawyers so that they can't be sued for misrepresenting themselves.

But if NOBODY can understand what the small-print-babble actually says then why does it matter? Or is it just enough that they made an effort?

Well, if I listen hard, I can understand an isolate word here and there. But overall it's gibberish and complete nonsense.

Blahblahblah qualify. Blablabla include blabla tax title blabblahblah blabblahblah must take delivery blabblahblah blabblahblah destination blabblahblah blabblahblah blab blahblah blab blahblah interest rate blab blah blah blab blahblah blabblah blah.

And come to think of it... why do they bother with the "small-print" on television ads as well?? It's COMPLETELY illegible. Just a bunch of fuzzy and blurry lines on screen.

Even if they WERE completely legible---which they are not---the words are displayed on-screen for all of... what?... THREE SECONDS???!!!

For all anyone knows you could be agreeing to trade in your first born child.

It's all a bit silly to me. (Almost as silly as the fact that it annoys me so.) Sigh.

1. They're laughing and making a mockery of the legal system
Who give's a rat's if nobody can understand the bloody gibber, they've said it and that's what legally counts.

Of course, they could pay for a 1 minute block and then charge twice as much for their products...

2. I feel sorry for that fast talking fed-ex guy
from the 80's. Remember him? No computer enhancement, just pure fast talking talent, now he's probably out of work forever.

3. Yep... today's "fast talkers" have OBVIOUSLY had their words digitally...
... compressed and the silent spaces between words clipped out.

4. another idiocy
In the TV car commercials, where they put that little caption "Professional driver on closed course". Or "Do not try this yourself". BUT! They show all those stunts and fancy crap in order to entice you to buy the car! Just don't do these stupid things when you actually get it! :eyes:

5. Yep ...and the funny thing is...
....the ads talk about how speedy and quick their automobile is and how much horsepower it has:
"The new XJ7 has an incredible 376 Hoursepower with lightning fast speed...blah, blah, blah"

And who buys them?...The fuckers that take 10 seconds to move when the light changes green....enter the Expressway going 25 MPH (gee, I wonder why I can't merge?) ..and generally drive the car like it's got a Briggs & Stratton Lawnmower engine under the hood!
