Saw Eric Clapton last night
It was SUCH a great show. Opened his 2004 N. America tour in OK City last night, and brought the house down. That guy hasn't lost his touch at all. Took my dad too. Surprise father's day gift. He dug it.

The real treat was his opening act. Robert Randolph and the Family Band. If you ever get a chance to see this kid, he's absolutely incredible.

Anyway, just thought I'd tell y'all about it. ;)

8. Many inquiring minds want to know
I almost got tickets for the Tampa show until I found out how much they were. I decided that I would need to take out a second mortgage if I wanted to go, so I reluctantly had to pass. I hope he played some blues!

11. He played
- 4 Robert Johnson songs
- A few less well known songs, certainly not hits.
- Badge, Layla, Sunshine of Your Love, Let It Rain, I Shot the Sheriff, Cocaine, Wonderful Tonight...

I know I'm forgetting a whole lot, but it was so fucking great to hear. Had Billy Preston along with him.

9. If you guys really want to get mad....

I saw him 2 times last weekend at the Crossroads Guitar Festival in Dallas. On Saturday night he played quite a few songs with Buddy Guy and Jimmy Vaughn. He played a bit with John Mayer.

Sunday he sat in with BB King, Jimmy Vaughn, Buddy Guy, and John Mayer. Then he went on with Santana for a song. Then he did his set. We left right after that because we didn't want to see ZZTop. The concert was freaking awesome. $60 bucks for the Sunday concert and $45 for the Saturday concert/trade show. Plus I almost went home with a 62 Strat :)...
