no, not that Elsa, but our mottled brown kitty who used up her nine lives in the mid-'90s. (Picture one of CatWoman's kitties, not a calico, just dark brown and light brown.)

As a kitten, we (well, Mom's then-boyfriend, anyway) called her "Ferret-face", because, well, she had a ferret face. As she began to fill out, the "Ferret-face" designation was no longer appropriate, and we couldn't figure out what "real" name to give her.

So, we wrote down a number of possibilities on slips of paper and put 'em in a glass bowl. Sure enough, she soon picked one out, and from then on, she was Elsa -- the coolest lioness never to log on to DU.
