I stopped at the market on my way home from work last night. When I got behind the wheel to go home I noticed someone had left a flyer on my windshield.
"Confused? Looking for Answers? Wondering about the meaning of life?......"
It was a flyer inviting me to attend church services and find Christ.
Now, I have to confess that the rear of my car is a cornucopia of bumperstickers "George W. Bush for EX-President 2004" and "Somewhere in Texas a Village is Missing Its Idiot" but also "Wage Peace" and "WWJB" (Who Would Jesus Bomb) and "Blessed are the Peacemakers".
I looked around to the other cars in the lot, and none of them had the flyer.
What do you think made someone think that I needed to be saved? What made them think that I was confused?
and remembered, "if yer not with us, yer agin' us." I have no doubt your license plate number was called in to john asscroft* and you will soon be headed for Gitmo! Stay off of small planes and avoid backroads!
Your opposition to God's own simian mouthpiece proves it. But this was an act of compassion, not a threat. Merely an attempt to save you from your wretched misconceptions about the world.
I once posted an eBay auction to sell a collection of full-size Jack Chick comics. My description of Chick's theology was less than reverent, and as a result I received several e-mails from eBayers offering to discuss religion and who said they would be praying for my soul. I did not respond. Anybody who would defend Chick's point of view is nobody I want to "discuss" religion with.
