TIMELY Movie tonight on Encore True "Das Experiment" (Stanford Experiment)
It's loosely based on the Stanford Experiment

http://www.prisonexp.org/

, but it's still a powerful film that looks at how people in authority can become monsters when in charge of prisoners.

"A man takes part in a scientific study where subjects pretend to be guards and inmates in a prison for two weeks. Based on a book by Mario Giordano. "

It's on twice tonight. Check your local listings. (7PM and 3 AM here in Indiana, but we have no DST, so check your listings to be sure.)

2. It's not a remake, but the German original
But I don't know about its subtitled status for show tonight.

3. Saw the DVD
I picked up the DVD when it first came out. A pity they packaged it like a cheap horror film, with the art work bleached Alien green. It's very good. Though if the telly version is dubbed, I'd skip it. See it in the orignal Deutsch. The star is the bloke who was Lola's partner-in-crime in Run Lola Run (Lola Rennte).

I thought he looked familar. Thanks for cluing me in.

Yeah, I agree about the DVD cover. I did, however, find out about it from a horror site, so maybe it's apt? Maybe they should have put out an "artsy" cover and a horror one as well?
