So should go hear Mario Cuomo or David Brock tonight?
They're bothing signing their new books, but at different B&Ns, and at the same time. So I can't do both.

I'm leaning toward Cuomo cuz I've read Brock and heard him recently on the radio. But I'm curious to hear a long speech by Brock, and do it in the midst of a wondrous liberal crowd. But on the other hand, Cuomo's new book is "Why Lincoln Matters" and he is quite critical of Shrub, but mostly, in the book, looking to Lincoln as someone we need to re-remember as a country and develop a new vision of compassion and generous for America.

I have a feeling that I'll go to Cuomo, but I'm torn on this one.

And for those in the area who might like to go to one or the other, Cuomo is at the Lincoln Center B&N at 7 pm, and Brock at the Union Square B&N at 7 pm.

1. Cuomo
I had to think about that one for a second. It's always interesting to hear what goes through the mind of a former-republican reformed Democrat. But the opportunity to hear an orator like Cuomo! No contest. Have a great time! :)

4. You and Misunderestimator have convinced my gut feeling
Hadn't realized Cuomo was such an orator! I'll definitely go there.

Always nice to be reminded that not all politicians are sloppily speaking emotionally-stunted shitheads.

3. On edit: Donna Brazile also signing tonight at 82nd and B'Way
Crap - of the list of people coming to the B&N's in the next month, these three are the only ones I'm real interested in, and of course they're all here at the same time.

:argh:

Just for me! :P

OK, maybe not, but I can dream, can't I?

Edit - doesn't it suck having TOO much to do? That's why I have to live in a city of some sort.

8. Definitely Cuomo.....
Brock will provide other opportunities, but Cuomo is a much more rare gem. I only wish his (Cuomo's) public speaking ability could be passed on to more of our DEM leaders.

9. Definitely Cuomo...
He ought to be the next Secretary of State or Ambassador to UN. Kerry is going to need someone who can return some dignity to this nation.

12. Thanks everyone! I'm definitely going to Cuomo
And I'm realizing that I likely need to get there really early, too, so I will. I have other work I can do whilst sitting in the chair waiting for it to begin...

I'm excited now!

I've never heard him speak - I don't even think I've heard him on TV - so had no idea he was such a great speaker. One of the downfalls of not having TV, I guess.
