1. Am not 4th Gen. Soldier: All males of WWII gen. served ,Father and Uncles
I served 2 tours with the Marines in VIET NAM. One Uncle died fighting the Germans. That side of Family came from Germany and there were 4 sons. Three of whom fought the Nazis and as I said one of them died in Combat against them. My Father and an Uncle fought the Japanese. They were Americans and had no qualms about going to war against Germany. ...Oscar

2. My son is the 4th generation soldier....
but he is presenting serving in the US Navy as a chopper rescue pilot.
I served twenty in the USAF. My dad was a pilot in WW2 and his father, my granddad was as they called it then...a doughboy in the US Army during WW1.

My grandfather fought in the Civil War (for the south) My father fought in WWI in Germany. I am a Viet Nam Veteran. My great grandfather doesn't appear to have fought in a war but he was in the Vigerina militia. Many of his ancestors served as mercenary's (Gallowglasses) in Ireland. :)
