They tried to freep my DU poll, LOL --

I started a poll asking if it was okay or not to out gay freepers. I gave several choices, ranging from, no, it wasn't okay to out anybody, ever, for any reason, to yes, I'm anti-fascist even if the fascist in question is gay.

The choice which got the most votes, and was climbing rapidly, was "no, even freepers deserve their privacy."

But lots of people with other opinions had posted something to justify their stance, while there were no posts at all from freepers, so I went back and asked the majority if they would please justify their votes.

Since then there hasn't been a single vote for freeper-only privacy. They're stuck with the 1st choice, privacy for everyone, or having to justify why only freepers should have it. Hee hee ...

2. I'd out 'em
They want to support us being secondary citizens, so I don't see why they should be untrue to themselves while pissing on the rest of us like good repukes as they are... If they want to whittle down their own brothers, they shouldn't expect their brothers to, uh, bend over backwards and let them do it while knowing who they truly are.

I hadn't voted, what's the title of the thread so I can search it? Thx!

Good thing I don't know of any gay freepers...

3. I voted for the everyone deserves their privacy
But had gone for a snack and an early-morning documentary fix, so I didn't see the new post. But here is the justification: I cannot support violating the privacy of any person who is not in the publc spotlight (ie - politicians and such), an as such, I chose that "even freepers deserve their privacy".

Im not a fan of double standards. There are enough of them with the Bushies in office.

4. I'm glad you voted for everyone deserves privacy

One of the options was yes, but only if they are in policy-making positions. The gay freepers who "helped * get elected," as one of them put it, are affecting public policy, so I'd think your argument would better justify that choice.

Your first choice was correct--EVERYONE (which, by the way, sneaky DUer that I am, already happens to INCLUDE freepers, although they may not think so), deserves their privacy.

And Hypno, the poll is called "Outing Gay Freepers -- OK or not OK?"
