7. I just tried that, and it didn't work...
I hit the "Print Screen" button, then launched Photoshop, then went to the "Edit" menu, and all the options there were gray, except "Purge" which was black. I know how to do this on a Mac; I use a Mac at home but PCs at work. I never have been able to figure out how to do it on a PC. On a Mac when you hit CMD-Shift-3 you hear a camera-shutter-opening-and-closing sound, then go to your desktop and there will be a file there called "Picture 1" which will be in PICT format and which you can open up in Photoshop and save as an EPS, TIFF, JPG, whatever. What happens when you hit "Print Screen" on a PC? Where does the image of whatever was on your screen go? On a Mac it goes into that PICT file that shows up on your desktop; where's the file that it goes into on a PC?

4. " print" button on the keyboard
Assuming that you use windows that is.

You can use the shot in your normal picture editor witch ctrl + v.

Hint: ctrl + alt + print will produce a screenshot of the active window and nothing else - very useful.
