1. I just don't get it
The first one was cute and mildy humorous but COME ON...
Am I the only one who is just not feeling this?
Maybe I'm just too old.

4. it's funny
and appeals to all ages (other than you ;)).
Dreamworks now has license to print money with this. It cost them $70 million to make and it will gross around $500 million with DVDs and TV rights. Someone is writting Shrek 3, no doubt.

8. I think they will
$240 million in one week, in US. The Passion I think is stuck around $360 million. Plus this will push sales of the first Shrek DVD even higher. Not to mention that they are making tons of cash in ads for products.

6. It's two guys who used to be funny voicing over cartoon characters...
If that's all it takes to gross 500 million then look for Dennis Miller to star in Shrek 3.

Bah, I should just let it go... I couldn't stop people from liking the Spice Girls either.

7. Animated computer graphics wouldn't otherwise get 200 cents...
if it wasn't voiced by recognizeable actors.

Maybe it is a good movie. Heck, I find FOX comedies to have better writing than FOX's live action shows... (The Critic, Futurama, The Simpsons, Family Guy)
