Well, I just did the stupidest thing of my life tonight.....

I was in Penticton with some friends, we all said good night and I headed up to the cabin. On the way I'm going through this woodsy area on the edge of a reservation. I saw two rough looking guys walking in the middle of the road. The guy stuck out his thumb, I slowed and said "Are you guys okay?" The said "Yeah, we're fine and started to get in the car. I thought "Oh fuck...what have I done." And when one guy starts to sit down I notice stuff still on the seat and went to move it as he sat...he sat on my hand and got up quickly and sai, "You just tried to grab my ass." I was quick and said calmy "no man there was just some shit on the seat still."

So they got in, I'm scard shitless, and I said where are you going." They said..."the sub" I didn't know where that was....but all I knew was I was heading into the woods with two shady characters...the guy was asking me "Are you looking for anything?" (IE drugs) I said no...and he said take this turn..it was a turn up a small secondary road....I was sweatin' big time. I thought for sure they were taking me up to shitkickme and rob me...then we rounded a corner and thank god there were houses everywhere...."First drive on the right," he said.

And that was it, I dropped them off...and said good night....It turned out okay, but man what a stupid thing to do.


Also, if you're ever in Penticton. Fred and bruce are okay to pick up.... :-) Man that was dumb.

come on...a ten percent chance of something bad happening?.....the types of people that are out to REALLY do something bad RARELY hitchhike.

9 times out of 10? i would venture that it is more like 1 time in 1000 at LEAST that some ill has befallen a person that picks up a hitchhiker.

on edit to say the worst experience i ever had picking up a hitch hiker was that HE STUNK TO HIGH HEAVENS!!! A young kid (19 or so) that needed a shower REAL BAD!

You might have used bad judgement, but dont think that being a decent human being is always stupid.

12. Honestly the thing is this

I was on a reservation, and I guess it's dumb, but I didn't want to be one of those guys that slows down, sees they're natives, and speeds up.

I'm not one of those guys, but I guess I needed to prove it.

I still don't understand...I slowed down, asked them...kept moving..then when I saw they were coming to the car... I stop and they got in..what the fuck part of me did that??????
