:wow:
I'm shocked I tell ya ... shocked ... at the way people are playing so-called "devil's advocate" ... it seems far from 'friendly'
imho - anyone who is knowingly aware, directly, indirectly, through complicity, casual conversation - whatever - of voting products which could be rigged, border on treason - we're not talking about microwave ovens or hairdryers here -- personally, I think the manufacture of this new voting method needs to be controlled down to the component and configuration level, including documentation ... the highlest level of security ... not just an off-the-shelf item ...
paper ballots are no sure-fire way to an honest election - surely, ballots were burned, destroyed, segregated by boxes (deposit your ballot in "this" box ... yours goes in "that" box - have a nice day)
I'll be first to admit, I'm light years from being cyber savvy - but, that makes me even less trustworthy in leaving my vote in the hands of Diebold or other companies and their Board of Directors; and, anyone who is seeking to nail down all the hatches has my highest respect ... I don't know what to think of those who are attacking such attempt.
I, also, believe, the good ol'boys have their spies out to keep ahead of the game. If there is foul-play contemplated, they'd be fools not to. I wouldn't be surprised if ol' Jeb Bu$h himself doesn't drop by for a visit.
I'm surprised that Katherine Harris didn't go into as much care in selecting new machines in Florida - that would have been the right thing to do -- not just get wined and dined and say I'll take 5000 for now, we'll talk later.
gee, it must have been rough back in the days when someone said the earth was round ... or that Earth revolved around the sun .... oh, yeah? prove it :wow: dang!
