Ouch! I can't move my left arm this morning!
Tivo grabbed some movie off cable last night (had Tom Hanks and some mute woman who was mermaid, but he didn't know it) My wife and I fell asleep on the couch watching it. When we woke up my left shoulder was kind of sore; went to bed without thinking much of it. Woke up about 4 am and it HURT! I slept off and on until it was time to get up, because I'd shift and it would hurt and I'd wake up.

It felt quite a bit better when I was in the hot hot shower, but since then it's been stifening up again. The pain isn't that great, but it's enough to make me whine "owwwwch!" every time i love my left arm more than a few inches.

okay. I'm done complaining.

Anyone else watch that movie last night?

1. Maybe you should 'love' your *right* arm for awhile...

10. I've Gone to Both
I've gotten faster relief from a chiropractor than an MD.

and BTW, chiropractors are real doctors, too.

6. Tiger Balm "Ultra strength"
They sell it at walgreens. Buy some...it works miracles!

I pulled a muscle in my upper back last weekend shoveling and could barely even breath without wincing...I applied Tiger Balm and within two hours I was back to almost normal!

Unless it's just my imagination it's the best product on the market for aches and pains!

7. Go to a doctor
Could be tendonitis or bursitis. I stretched my ACL in 99 and I get that from time to time.

Ice and heat alternating and rest will help to relieve the pain and an anti-inflammatory.

8. I'm a bit underinsured... but I'll go if it doesn't fix itself
I have crappy health insurance that has a really high deductable and pretty much doesn't cover anything. My arm has been getting a little better, but if it's still sore like this come lunch time I'll have the wife bring me home some of that cold/hot salve for it.

The good news is that once I position my arm (ouch!), I can type with only minor discomfort.

Thanks for the advice!

9. I Pinched a Nerve in My Shoulder
a couple of years ago, just surfing the internet. No pain but numbness and an inability to move my wrist. The neurologist couldn't really do anything except let it heal, but I got several accupuncture treatments which helped quite a bit.

11. Sounds worse than lying on it wrong
What do I know though. I woke up with painful/numb right quadricep this morning. I went to the doctor who said that I probably hurt my back somehow and told me to take anti inflammatories for a while. I am thinking about going to a chiropractor. The other time I went to the doctor for pain attributed to my back I was told to take anti inflamatories too. What a waste of $20.
