They're coming out of the woodwork...
...and I remain cautiously optimistic. :)

Old flames sending random greetings. Word of the ex-Mrs. Robb's departure seems to have hit the street.

Anyone trust the ex-contingent? Lord knows at one point I married one, and look how that turned out. :silly:

1. I am still madly, deeply, marriedly in love with my ex.
MrG and I dated as 18 year olds for a year. I treated him rather crappily (which 18 year old girls are wont to do) and we broke up. I ran into him again at 22 and we have been together for 12 wonderfully, blissfully (okay, but pretty darn good) years. I say, if one of them interests you, go for it.

3. See, that's practically my story
...Except substitute 26 for 22, 6 years of marriage, and throw in a divorce there at the end bit. :)

5. I see. Well, is there one that you have thought about during those
years? One that you kind of regretted becoming exes with? That's what happened with me and MrG. Good luck Robb. Sometimes a fresh face can be worth it too. :hi:

4. Agreed
The only woman I ever loved was someone who was a friend for years, we lost touch, and then reconnected.

Unfortunately she didn't love me as much as I loved her. :(

2. NOOOOOO!! Bad idea
They're ex'es for a reason. I've made that mistake twice and never again for me. Every single time I've become single again, including this last time, the ex'es came out of the woodwork for another go at it. BAD, BAD idea, look for someone new if you're ready to date again.

6. I remember hearing a comedian once
I can't remember who it was, but it was along the lines of, "Dating an ex is like drinking from a carton of milk. You put it back because it's sour, then drink from it again later expecting it not to still be sour."

7. LOL!
Reminds me of Lewis Black's bit about putting candy corn in his mouth every year, expecting it not to be terrible. :D
