Poll question: How do you like your bananas?
I like (and buy) green bananas. When they start ripening and getting little brown spots on the peels, it gags me to eat them.

2. They have to be yellow.
Not greenish-yellow. Not yellow with little brown spots. Yellow.

Perfectly ripe, but not the least bit overripe. (They stay that way for about half an hour......) :-(

I like mine a little starchy - they go better between the cheerios and milk that way. I don't like them at all when they're over-ripe. I have one at home I have to throw away. I'll buy some nice green ones at the market.

Fried plantains are better, but fried bananas are good, too.

13. Depends on what they're for
yellow-green make GREAT fresh eating and cooking, as in Bananas foster, because they hold up much better. OTOH, black ones make the best banana nut bread. :9
