It's time we start a thread for America's best actress: Julianne Moore

I think she's stunningly beautiful. She has said many times that she would never consider plastic surgery (and she has aged wonderfully well). And Ms. Moore is a great progressive thinker and very active in the fight for Women's Right to Choose! She even has a quote on the back of the book: The War on Choice : The Right-Wing Attack on Women's Rights and How to Fight Back

I've been watching her act back when she was Frannie on "As the World Turns" (hey, it's my favorite soap). Hopefully soon she'll finally get that Oscar because she's been nominated enough times (heck I think twice she's had 2 nominations in one year).

So let's hear it for Julianne Moore!!!

1. Oh, I completely agree. From "The Hours" to "Far From Heaven".
Julianne Moore is luminescent and beautiful. A very talented actress (I personally thought her performance in "The Hours" was better than Nicole Kidman's)

Julianne Moore is a favorite actress of mine. And the fact that she's one of us makes my admiration for her complete. :-)

2. I agree.
I adore her.

Boogie Nights... The Hours... Far From Heaven...

she's amazing.

My other favorite "forgotten" actress is Joan Allen.

6. I First Became Aware Of Her In "Boogie Nights"
Even though the movie pretty much sucked-dust... her performance was memorable. I've enjoyed her work ever since then.

And yes... she is beautiful.

8. She's so underatted
She's beautiful and extremely talented. I remember when she and Nicole Kidman were both on Larry King last winter promoting "The Hours" (or was it the winter before???)

Anyway, the camera couldn't seem to peel itself away from Nicole. Don't get me wrong, IMO Nicole has EARNED all of her accolades and is also beautiful, but Julianne should not have had to play second fiddle

9. She's one of my favorites
If you can't get enough of Julianne, see the movie "Safe." She's in every scene.

10. She is SO gorgeous! and I love her as an actress.
Actually, her hair color is the shade I am thinking of going. I just LOVE her hair! She has the kind of smile that lights up the screen.
