when do the schools (non-college) get out for the summer in your area?

when do the schools (non-college) get out for the summer in your area?

around here (Kansas City Area), most get out next week and start for the fall in Mid-August

some schools are already out and starting the first week of August in some places?

3. I'm out
My students' last day was 5/18. We go back on 8/3, which in Florida is just in time for the major heat and hurricane activity.

9. Two reasons
Standardized tests play a part. The tests must be taken in March, so the earlier we start, the more we can drill into the kids' heads before the tests begin.

It also has to do with having high school kids being able to finish semester I by Winter break.
