This could be fun-Robert Wagner, William Shatner & Lee Majors in a TV show
Mentioned today in Variety is a new television project in development at ABC as a movie of the week. Titled ACTIONHEROES INC., the project is about three washed-up television action heroes that decide to start up their own private investigation film, using their remaining star charisma and experience playing make-believe heroes to fight crime in Los Angeles. What makes the show that much more interesting is that the producers have three real former TV action stars attached to play the characters, namely William Shatner (STAR TREK), Robert Wagner (HART TO HART) and Lee Majors (THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN).

And according to IMDB, he's still alive.

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0506891/

He works the strip club market these days. He's the stereotype of the "dirty old man".

Sorry, you're right. He ended up with amputations after complications from surgery at one point. Though I could have sworn he died. Must be someone else I'm thinking of!

5. They'd have to have a silly side-kick
Even though they'd all be silly themselves...or maybe a super-smart one, like in Remington Steele (sp?).

12. Wife Slapped HIM?
Aren't the rumors about WAGNER that either he and/or Natalie were having an affair with the weird dude? BLAKE wasn't there.

9. Who would be the female stars?
All those old shows had a large number of female characters.

Question is this: would they be young or older established female actresses?

13. This is too good...

William Shatner, the epitome of action heroes... He's a shoe-in.

Lee Majors, the 6 Million Dollar Man. When you hear they replaced both his legs and right arm, you had wonder if they bothered to save what was between the legs... Of course, having married the Bionic Woman (who had a bionic dog, how much more ridiculous did the franchise get before I start making my own commentary?!?!), it seems rather obvious they either kept the original or gave him a bionic one... :scared: I ain't goin' there...

Hart to Hart? I thought Wagner was The Fall Guy. Oops, that's Majors again... What the halliburton was Hart to Hart about anyway? The name Robert Wagner sound familiar, what else is he in?

18. Okay
Shatner did Trek than he did TJ Hooker.

Lee Majors did $6 Million Man and then The Fall Guy

Robert Wagner did It Takes A Thief and then did Hart to Hart with Stefanie Powers.

Hart to Hart was about a wealthy couple, Wagner and Powers) who lived with their butler/all around handy guy Max (Lionel Stander) and their dog Freeway. Because of Hart Industries, Jonathan Hart and his wife Jennifer, kept getting put into some rather tight spots, from people who wanted to steal money from them, etc.

As far as real life wives, Shatner's been married at least three times, his first wife before and during Trek (I think her name was Gloria, but it's been so long that I don't remember), then Marci Lafferty who did the first Trek movie, then that woman who drowned in the swimming pool, and I think he's either got another girlfriend or is married again.

Lee Majors was married to Farrah Fawcett. They divorced. I can't remember if he's remarried, but I would suspect so.

Robert Wagner was married to Natalie Wood, who he then divorced, remarried (can't remember her name), then both Natalie and RJ were both divorced at the same time (she had been married to a guuy whose name was Gregson), and they got back together again and remarried. Natalie drowned while drinking--Christopher Walken, RJ and Natalie were on the Wagner's yacht (Walken and Natalie were working on Brainstorm at the time) and she got tired of the conversations and stuff between Walken and RJ and fell overboard. RJ remarried again to Jill St. John. There were rumors going around because Stefanie Powers had been romatically involved with William Holden, who was found dead in his home not long before Natalie's death, that Stefanie and RJ were having an affair.

As far as people beating people up, I think you're confusing Lee Majors with David Soul of Here Come the Brides and Starsky and Hutch, who turned out to have a nasty temper and did beat his wife. He's done anger management since then, and has admitted his beating.

Of course there are other actors out there who beat their wives and girlfriends, but it's hard to think of them on the spur of the moment. Also, as an added piece of trivia: Paul Michael Glazer, of Starsky and Hutch fame as well, was the son of a Boston based architect. In addition, Glazer's wife Elizabeth died of AIDS, which she contracted during a blood transfusion. Both their son and daughter died from contact. This was in the earlier days of the disease in the early 80s, and the Pediatric AIDS charity is associated with Elizabeth Glazer's charity work she did prior to her death. Glazer is now directing.

22. ITAT
Thanks! I knew he was in something. "It Takes A Thief" was at the very end of the spy genre, and we rather see why - the show sucked.

Thanks for all the info. Interesting stuff.

15. Interesting, very interesting!
I saw when i clicked on that link that Richard Biggs who played Dr Franklin on Babylon 5 passed away at 43. I loved B5 and I always had hope that there would be some spin off. I have heard some rumor of a mini series, but thats it.
