Homeless man who lived in restroom sentenced for bank robbery
A homeless man who robbed a bank to fuel his marijuana habit has been sentenced to seven years in prison.

LaDarrelle Dixon pleaded guilty to using an unloaded pellet gun to rob a St. Simons Island bank Dec. 9. A bank employee was injured after being knocked to the floor by Dixon.

Before the robbery, Dixon was living in a park restroom near the bank.

The 20-year-old, who has a prior burglary conviction, said in court he robbed the bank because he needed the money to feed his marijuana habit.
