Quiz- What's your Fantasy Island?
http://web.tickle.com/tests/fantasyisland/index.jsp
(On keeping with my earlier theme this week of escaping to an island somewhere.)

Me:
FIJI

Bring on the enlightenment! A spiritual encounter is what you're after when heading to your fantasy island, and the South-Pacific paradise of Fiji is a great place to start. A soul searcher and deep thinker, you thrive on feeling connected to new places and people — after all, why seek out new experiences and cultures if you're not going to open yourself up to the wonders they offer?

1. Odd, just tonight I told my kids I wanted to go to Fiji, but the quiz said
Fiji! It never works that way with me.

2. Green Turtle Cay
Bahamas.......

no roads on the island.

Nearest airport is seven miles across the sound.......

great snorkeling....

plenty of lobster and fish...

even the iguanas are friendly/curious.........

down-side: fresh water is hard to come by...hence no showering, just "Jump in the Ocean Mon..."

3. My Island!
New Zealand

Rugged. Adventurous. Both! When you head on vacation, your fantasy island is the wild and diverse country of New Zealand. A curious and courageous spirit, you don't need — or necessarily want — a lot of pampering when traveling. Not one to lounge on a beach chair most days, you seek out challenges (on holiday and off), especially when there's a chance to hone a new skill or test your mettle.

You tend to relax by doing — be it bungee jumping, hiking the backcountry, or hitting every museum a city has to offer. Like New Zealand's varied terrain — glaciers, beaches, cities, and mountains — you can entertain even the most rambunctious friends. For you, there's nothing better than letting go of convention and heading off toward a new, undiscovered sunset. Ramble on!

6. St. Lucia
I almost booked us here for our honeymoon, but with reprehensor's immigration status up in the air, we settled for something domestic since we didn't want him getting kicked out or anything.

"Indulgence — that's your focus when considering the perfect island getaway. That's why a luxurious Caribbean gem like St. Lucia is right for you. After all, it's a vacation — what better time to indulge every whim? Can't you just hear the steel drums as you delight in spa treatments or have cocktails served on the beach? Or maybe you'd rather shop the day away and splurge on a fancy seafood dinner? Whatever your extravagances, you find that pampering yourself is the best way to let go of stress and revitalize for the road ahead."

7. It's interesting...
If you've ever seen "The Truman Show," it's interesting how Fiji really does represent a sort of... enlightenment, or personal freedom... Great sociological movie, a must see.
