2. Umm ... Dude
you've had way too much beer. Knock off the sauce. It'll make you feel worse.

 If it makes you feel any better, the 20s just are a sucky time for a lot of people. Me included, but I got better. And so will you.

13. Have you felt like this
Edited on Fri May-21-04 10:48 PM by supernova
for a long time? I.e. more than a week or two at a stretch?

Do you sleep too much/not enough?

Do you have trouble concentrating, getting your work done?

Do you eat too little/too much?

Do you withdraw from friendships and activities you have enjoyed before?

anti-anxiety meds?

Forgive me for being so intrusive. I'm trying to say perhaps you need counselling for clinical depression.

23. Do you have a doc who

follows you? If so, you should call him/her if you are feeling THIS bad.

I really think you could use a therapist psychiatrist for long-term management of your problems. We care about you, but can only offer temporary solutions.

27. Well, until you can
find out on Monday (which you will do) you're going to have to find a way to get through the weekend.

Don't drink anymore. Alcohol is a depressant and will make you feel worse.

Find somthing, preferrably several somethings, to do that get you out of the house. Don't sit and brood.

- Go to a museum
- Go to a movie
- Take a walk in the nearest park. Exercise relieves depression.
- Go to church. Whichever church you feel like, with the execption of the fundamentialists. Even if you are conflicted about it right now, it can be comforting to do something familiar.

Do you have an old friend who would like to see you and catch up? Sometimes that helps.

8. Life is a series of moments...you cant win them all...

Just do something to get your mind off of how much everything sucks right now. Rearrange your priorities, go work out, and stop drinking.

Do whatever work you have to do to get healthy and you will be out of this funk in no time.

29. That's a bit insensitive, Rowdyboy...
There are legions of issues many young people face that older people don't.

BTW, there are few phrases more insipid than "youth is wasted on the young." We have one shot at life, perhaps you should be fortunate that you've made it this far.

"Angelus sure is a loser." Actually, don't have a gang at work, made the whole thing up.

Aren't we all from time to time?

Good night.

14. Time to take a moment
Life is short, precious and fleeting.

So, get a good night's sleep (one of life's vastly underrated luxuries), then wake up and ask yourself: who can I help today?

You'll feel better, I promise.
