By popular demand, THE BAR IS NOW OPEN!!!!
Well, it *is* Friday and all and it's been a really long week and we've all been working so hard and there is just so much tension here...

Enough with the justifications. Let's    :party:

So, step right up. What'll you have?

We've got some
Perhaps a little of this :smoke:
Maybe you could use one of these:hug:

So, what's your pleasure today? Don't be shy. :-)

23. In hopes of redeeming myself, I offer this
Teach your children:
A   first grade teacher in the Midwestis explaining to her class that she is a Republican and how nice it is that a new Republican president has taken office. She asks her students to raise their hands if they, too, are Republicans and support George Bush.  Everyone in class raises their hands except one little girl.

"Mary," says the teacher with surprise, "why didn't you raise your hand?"  Because I'm not a Republican," says Mary. "Well, what are you?" asks the teacher.  "I'm a Democrat and proud of it," replies the little girl.

The teacher cannot believe her ears. "My goodness, Mary, why are you a Democrat?" she asks.  “Well, my momma and papa are Democrats, so I'm a Democrat, too."  "Well," says the teacher in an annoyed tone, "that's no reason for you to be a Democrat. You don't always have to be like your parents.

What if your momma was a criminal and your papa was a criminal, too, what would you be then?" "Then," Mary smiled, "then we'd be Republicans."

69. It was great!
The movie was subtitled for us snots who have to hear foreign movies in the native language. It was so JDM!

Also, the Castro movie palace is such a jewel; we got there early to hear the organist and everything. Such a shame San Francisco city can only support one of these old places.

Oh, can ya fill me up again? The glass seems to have emptied somehow...

64. Well, I am an obliging hostess
As much as it pains me, I'll set the both of you up.

HOWEVER, please read this first. You need to be aware of the company you keep.

BRYAN, TX -- A man remained jailed after police said he attempted to steal alcohol from a grocery store while dressed in drag clothing and then attacked the clerk who caught him in the act. He was probably remaking that Jane's Addiction video for "Been Caught Stealing"...

Cedrine Green was charged with robbery following the Saturday night incident at the H-E-B Pantry grocery store. The charge was elevated from theft because he swung a purse -- which contained a bottle of peaches and cream flavored Mad Dog 20/20 -- at the head of a clerk and then struck the worker in the shoulder with a wooden stake. The drag queen sounds as if (s)he looked like a Mad Dog. Maybe (s)he will skip bail and take the Nighttrain out of town. Or steal a Thunderbird instead. Sorry if we made a Ripple.

Witnesses told police that Green -- who was wearing a maroon wig, a red sleeveless top and a turquoise skirt with flowers on it (Fashion faux pas... Red clashes w/turquoise) -- attempted to steal a four-pack of small wine bottles and the Mad Dog 20/20, then left the store without paying, police said. The total value of the alcohol was less than $10. Listen... if you're willing to risk going to jail for theft, at least walk out with some decent shit.

104. The weather's been nice - 50's to 60's mostly (heat wave)
and that's why the bike being out of commission is so frustrating! Intake problem, I'm not sure exactly what, a result of not-so-great mechanics doing a gear-fix recall last winter. I've only put 250 miles on it this year so far. ARRRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Thanks for the Goose, proles, it'll help a lot! :loveya:

110. actually have an evening with no work on the plate
well... there is work to be done - but I am choosing to spread it out over the weekend. Guess I unintentionally missed crossing paths with NMSA on the thread - she already had to chase me off a thread earlier (at my request - I knew I might be procrastinating earlier in the day...)

Right now am trying to balance my wonder at how these gazillion, loud, ugly, little bugs have lived for so long to help me from wanting to step on and crush them because they are so annoying and creepy - and all over the place. We have thousands upon thousands of cicadas on our property. I waiver between awe (when inside or on the porch) and complete disgust (when outside and the ugly buggers fly into me...)

113. maybe you will be spared
from first hand reports around the north, west, east and south side of indy- the cicadas aren't emerging at all. heck in some places of bloomington they are pretty light. But we have a fairly wooded lot - that hasn't been disturbed (by construction) for two brood x cycles as is the case for the neighboring areas. Hence - scads and scads and scads of them.

Think I will have that second Becks... :D
