quick question re hard disk recovery

is it realistic that it would cost $70,000 to recover data on 3 hard disks that have crashed? and that it would cost $10k just to have them looked at?

1. Sorry, I have no idea...

but to me, that sounds absolutely insane!!

I read a couple of posts in some tech forum not too long ago where someone was talking about it costing between $700 and $1000 to have a single hard drive recovered. Maybe that is more realistic. Intuitively, it sounds right to me.... :shrug:

Normally looking at a HD should cost $200 per HD.

www.convar.de (the people reconstructing the 9/11 HDs).
