Read his book years ago.Yeah, he's good friends with Henry Kissinger & yes he is a BIG TIME Republican,but I think he's a legend! Just watched the dvd,"The Kid Stays in the Picture" & thought it was awesome!Anyone else see it?

That was hillarious. They must have just rolled off a full 1000 footer on him for that one, it just goes on and on. That's truly one of Hoffman's better moments. It's even better when you remember that his characterization in "Wag the Dog" was a straight parody of Evans.

Something I'd like to see is the footage from the ill-fated first production of "The Two Jakes" that had its plug pulled; I know Evans was an actor in it, but I'm not sure who he played.

Yes, on the audio commentary Dustin Hoffman said he was playing Bob Evans the best he could without making it too obvious! The home tanning salon was a Evans homeage!
