Whoopi Canceled. -- Happy Family Canceled. -- Good Morning Miami Canceled.

FOUR hours of Law & Order spin-offs?

MORE MORE and even MORE 'reality', and gross-out reality shows?

Goodbye NBC. I guess I'm just prematurely out of the age demographics you're seeking.

Your lineup is turning to CRAP. Maybe CBS will have something that's just slightly better than crap and they'll move into the #1 slot for primetime entertainment. ABC is, what, 4th? Behind UPN. (Just a guess.)

Oh... good-on-ya... you renewed Scrubs. The ONE smart person in charge at NBC renewed Scrubs. Congratulations.

8. NBC probably got too many complaints from certain folks.
In the few episodes that I watched, Whoopi really laid the smack down on conservatives. Don't wanna piss off Mr. Welch, do we?

18. NBC's original lame justification for canceling her show
was that she did a lot of "anti-Boo$h humor" and if he he wasn't reselected they were concerned her jokes would fall flat.

Love that peacock logic.

'Scrubs' is the best thing going for 'em.

19. Damn near killed ourselves laughing when she tripped on the Bush poster
Kept stomping all over it. Sure it was slapstick but it vents the stress of knowing that idiot is out there.

3. Well, there's the possible "Boondocks" show on Fox this Fall
Edited on Mon May-17-04 12:53 PM by khephra
But since it's on Faux, you know they'll cancel it quickly, once the suits outside the entertainment division find out about its content.

American Dad by the maker of Family Guy might be good.

Even though it's getting Angel canned, I'm still going to give Dark Shadows a try.

I think the last thing I watched these was Johnny Carson.

7. Whoopi Wants To Do A News Show...
based on this article (which was written one day before she was actually cancelled) she indicates that IF she is cancelled, she would like to do a news show.

I hadn't heard of the other two shows, but Whoopi was at least relatively funny!

12. I lived in Miami when it premiered
and was shocked to see a show about a workplace ostensibly in Miami with only ONE(!) latin character (and she was a ridiculous stereotype) and then a bunch of those westside LA airhead showbiz types, and the star, who I think was a New Yorker. The show had nothing to do with the Miami I knew, and I only watched it once. Reminded me of a weaker version of "Just Shoot Me".

They should have used Nestor Carbonell from "Suddenly Susan" - he does the accent well and isn't over the top.

Any Miami show NOT dominated by latins strains credibility since the city is 75% latin, and about 50% Cuban/Cuban-American.

I had a love-hate relationship with that town...

But I hear Constance Zimmer is in a new show, so it won't be all bad...

14. Why the hell are you watching TV, anyways?
It's the number one drug of choice for brainwashed American zombies. Why subject yourself to sub-cro-magnon entertainment and pro-corporate propaganda if you don't have to?

Turn that shit off and read a book.

16. Any news about Arrested Development on Fox?
Perhaps they've decided to replace it with the William Hung Funtime Variety Show.

20. I'm glad they kept "Scrubs".
They nearly killed it by moving it all over the schedule.

I'm sorry to see "Whoopi" get cancelled. On the other hand, "Happy Family" and "Good Morning Miami" were the two least funny sitcoms I've ever watched. No loss there,
