should I get a new DU user name?
I think this one's kinda boring. But I'm likely to come up with something even worse if I get a new one!

hmm... any suggestions?

Most likely, none of you know me well enough to make a suggestion, because you always think "What a boring name!" and don't read my posts. Right? ;)

6. I'm pretty sure you have to open a new account
thus losing your post count

But I'm not overly concerned about that.

4. hey - astronomy is cool
maybe something a little sparklier? StarMass? Although I guess there are other types of items out there in the universe... but MassBlackHole just doesn't have the same ring to it. There's always AstroMass...

5. my research *is* on stars...
It's too bad all the stars I study have names like "V1057 Cyg" or "DL Tau"

Otherwise I'd go there for inspiration.

Thanks for the suggestions!

10. Don't change it, WMass astronomer.
If you want to stand out a bit, get a snazzy sig line instead! May I suggest Vermeer's "The Astronomer"? :hi:

11. I vote you do whatever you want...
but I also vote that DU have a policy that you can change your nickname once every 2 years...just for the heck of it!

13. Hardly boring
More like informative. It's nice to see a self-identified scientist in the room.
