Not the ambulance (A drunken man tried to drive off in an ambulance)
A drunken Flagstaff man was arrested Thursday night after witnesses say he tried to drive off in a ambulance.

According to Flagstaff police reports, paramedics were rendering assistance to a person near the Mad Italian bar on South San Francisco. Unbeknownst to the paramedics, bouncers at the bar tossed out a man who they believed was too drunk to be served. The man proceeded to get into the ambulance and attempt to drive off. The bouncers pulled the man out of the ambulance before he could.

Bouncers stopped a passing officer, and Chester R.

Howard, 44, 2667 E. Matterhorn, was booked into the county jail on a charge of attempted auto theft.
