This is one bizarre Sopranos episode
The dream sequences

A bit of self-parody in there, too

1. It absolutely blows

Very dissapointing after looking forward to it all week. David Chase irritates the shit out of me sometimes.

On edit: The worst Sopranos episode I've ever seen. Totally pointless.

2. Seemed like the longest dream sequence in the history of tv

3. Yeah, that's what we thought. We expected more to happen,
and we got a long dream sequence. Longest in the history of dreams.

4. very weird, but seems to be leading up to something big . . .
for the final two shows . . . looks like war is about to erupt between the Sopranos and Johnny Sack's family . . . and Tony B. is toast . . .

5. "Twin Peaks" homage, apparently...
...intended to amuse you, confuse you, piss you off, surprise you...if I were David Lynch, I'd be looking for a royalty check in the mail after this one.

I'm surprised no one ordered a "damn fine cup of coffee."

6. I thought it was the best one all year.
I loved that dream, with it's inside jabs at Godfather I and the internal struggle Tony's going thrugh knowing he's got to whack his cousin. Most of the season I wondered to myself why did they wait this long for this schlock that used to be a great program. They've wasted nearly an entire season with such bland shows. The writing staff for this show needs to go if they've got another year. But for tonight, they got a little of the edginess back.

8. At first I thought it was the last season.
Then when the season started, it was posted here that they've got another year. Whatever's the truth, they've got a lot of ground to make up for letting the show die on the vine for so long.

As for Deadwood, I just can't get into the whole premise. Never was much for period pieces like that.

9. Decent episode, but bring on Six Feet Under
I'm just weary of the Sopranos. I enjoyed the dream sequence, and it made me feel uncomfortable, and full of deja veux, but when it was all over, it just seemed to say nothing, to solve nothing. It was a fun ride, an interesting distraction which provided scenes which would otherwise never occur (Tony balling Charmaine, while Artie looks on all close-up-style), but it seemed completely detached from the rest of the season.

The appearance of Annette Benning was as distracting as the sudden shock of Ted Danson in "Saving Private Ryan."

Are they ever going to wrap up the Adrianna-FBI story line...?

10. So the series might end with Bob Newhart and Suzanne Plashette
sitting in bed?

(Ihave no idea how to spell her name)
