Raises the question, "do we really know anyone?"

Also raises the question, "do we really want to really know anyone?"

2. its bad in my family
no subject was ever off-limits. We found humor in everything. Sometimes we laughed our asses off at something that other people called sick.

3. Now listen...we here at DU are the most understanding...
non-judgemental, level headed people you would ever care to meet. We also enjoy a good laugh. I am POSITIVE that if you would share your vile, uncouth, despicable thought, we would all see the humor and laugh WITH you, not AT you, and would not think less of you as a person.

SO SHARE, let us know what you are really like. We'll be nice. Promise.

5. Yes.
Often. It's good to share these things. I'll give an example. One day at work at the mental health clinic, staff were mourning the death of a client who hung himself from a bridge. It was sad, and the fellow really had been a kind and gentle soul. My co-worker slid a copy of the morning newspaper in front of me; it had a large color photo of a man bungie-jumping. My co-worker said, "No, ______, no! You tie it around your ankles!" Most people never would admit to being that sick, but my co-worker wasn't the type to hold it in.

9. pretty far...
but I know I'll piss people off if I mention my instances. One involves misreading a sign so as to include a racial epithet and the other involves a cripple and a revolving door.

See? I just pissed people off by saying "a cripple". I suck.

13. I spent 30 minutes giggling to myself at work
My cow-orkers thought I had totally lost it.

I finally broke down and told them the joke.

"Beaver Lumber". (it's the name of a Canadian hardware store)

My boss told me to take the rest of the day off and possibly see a doctor.
