Another Ipod appreciation thread.....
I've had mine for 2 weeks now and I like it more and more each day. Admittedly it's absurd that my only frustration is that I was only able to fit 8,500 songs on it at the compression level I have most of my music at.

Now my time is spent figuring out which albums/songs in my collection I can afford to compress a little more quality wise (admittedly some of my more raw, poorly recorded punk records don't gain anything from a higher quality compression) so that I can fit more on it. I have a 40gb ipod and I have about 50gb of music on an external hard drive.

I've also gotten the Itrip which for the most part works as well as can be expected given what it does (mini FM transmitter).

I'm still not ready to completely pack up my cds but I can see that in my future.

1. We got the new Ipod when it came out last year.
It has an episode of MST3k and about 200 cds on it, and it still is only about half full.

I love it, it is a must for long car rides.

3. An episode of MST3K? How does that work?
Like I said, I barely have enough room for my 1,200 cds on mine but I'm curious how other data works on it.

2. I've had an iPod for almost 2 years.

I have used it almost everyday I've had it.

I have gotten more utility out of that thing both in an absolute sense and also in a utility/dollar sense than just about any piece of technology I've ever purchased.

5. I bought a 10GB and it's TOO small...
How the hell did THAT happen? I figured 10GB, that's plenty...of course I have archives of Thom Hartmann and Randi Rhodes, plus some Mike Malloy...
