I am so fucking pissed off.....
My lights were turned off! I paid my bill and my lights were turned off! Apparently, there was some screw up, and these IDIOTS didn't get my money order, which was sent, ALONG with my letter telling them to change my billing address, which they CHANGED, but somehow they didn't get my money orders! Huh? How did you get my billing address, and change it, but you didn't receive the money that was included with the letter that instructed you to change the billing address? How did you get one, and not get the other, if they were included in the same envelope? I just don't get that.

So.........they turned off my lights. So...I paid them AGAIN. Double the money, double the fun......so I waited and waited and waited.....no lights. So finally, I said fuck it, and had my husband turn on the fucking lights himself. And if they want to fuck with me, God help them.

Let them file a charge against us. Let them go ahead. God help them if they do. I will ask for a jury trial and I will make them go through voir dire, and I will argue my case before a jury. And I will win.

Fuck them. How dare they do this?

5. I hope you saved the money order receipt...was it a postal one?
In any case, do NOT admit knowing ANYTHING about the power being "turned back on." They will fuck with you over that, even when you're morally in the 'right.'

Tell them "some guy in a truck came by and turned it on." They will say something about a seal or lock, but don't admit to anything.

Now back to the MO. If it is a postal one, you can have the Post Office do a trace and find out if, when, and by who it was 'cashed.' If it was one of those independent MO companies, you'll have to read the fine print on whatever paperwork you have for that...(no, I'm not a lawyer but have had many dealings in this area)

Enough for the moment...

6. You must live in Texas.
We deregulated a few years ago. I did a little work for one of the big utilities here in Houston. These people have absolutely no clue when it comes to information technology. I was shocked at the level of ignorance in their IT departments.

From what I hear, their billing systems are still screwed up from the change over, and they have already spent tens of millions of dollars on this issue. Don't expect any miracles. I'm still waiting for the miracle of deregulation to lower my electricty prices.
