Help! I've Lost my Internet Radio
I've gotten into the routine of firing up WWOZ (New Orleans' Jazz Community radio station) every morning as soon as I get into the office. Last week I foolishly clicked "yes" to the automated upgrade suggestion for Windows Media, and I've lost the ability to stream the internet broadcast. Our IT guys - undergraduate students - seem mystified.

WWOZ (wwoz.org) has kind of a funky setup, in that it streams from a web page that has to remain active, either as a Real Player of Windows Media file, so Winamp or any of the others seems to be out of the question, and the Real player page hasn't been working for a while.

Does anybody have any suggesions, thoughts, or solutions? I'm going through seriousl withdrawal here.

Thanks

AY

1. all I know
is that some of these sound enablers compete with each other. Sometimes when you fiddle with one, it messes up their understanding who is boss.

You could try deleting every vestige of your old Real player and downloading the newer version.
