Don't flame Sting! (or me)
Say something nice about him! What's your favorite Sting solo album? My favorite is "The Soul Cages".

2. I like Sting and have several of his CDs
I think he is a very talented musician (looks to make sure the rock and roll boys aren't around to jump on this opinion and give me a ton of crap) and I like his Jungian bent, as well. :)

6. I love his "Ten Summoner's Tales" album.
Especially the songs: "If I Ever Lose My Faith In You" & "Fields Of Gold". I dig the guy's music, for the most part.

8. Not flame-proof, but
I really liked Sting back in the day, with the Police, and his early solo stuff. I think the first two solo albums were wonderful. I began to lose interest around the time of Summoner's Tales, and with the exception of "Desert Rose" haven't liked anything in the last ten years or so.

I would argue that he'd have been more interesting if he'd stayed with the Police. Andy and Stewart kept him honest, as proven by the level at which they fought as a band. Sting's worst instincts reveal themselves when he is unchecked--that terrible movie he did, for instance. Check out his pompous description of his first child's birth--one of the hospital staff was nearby whistling Roxanne "...and I wept."
