Need anti virus advice :(

I have McAfee but I can't figure out how to get rid of stupid adware programs that somehow got onto my machine. I am SO AGGRAVATED with trying to get help, I am asking for you guys to help me.

How do you get rid of these little cretins? What about Norton? Panda? What is the best and what version, etc. do I buy to get full protection and these programs off my machine?

Any help is appreciated.

1. get AdAware...

its free, effective (as long as you keep it updated), just google it, or download it from www.webattack.com <- lots of good free software there.

2. Two good FREE programs I recommend.....

.....For 'Trojans' and 'spy ware' download Spybot Search and Destroy and a very good anti virus program is Anti Vir, a German program that prompts you every 2 weeks at startup to check for, automatically download and install updates if you haven't done it already. :)

Virus software won't get rid of your trojan horses.
