1. According to the grown ups
in the White House it is. It worked for them for quite sometime.

2. IMHO, if a grown up is doing it, then it is a grown up
thing to do but I wouldn't make a habit of doing it in front of those unable to enjoy moments of lightness and frivolity.

3. What if someone who doesn't understand lightness and frivolity
is doing it, and telling other people to grow up?

5. I don't think someone who is doing this
Has much of a right to say "grow up".

9. I'm not pointing my finger at anyone-
Edited on Sat May-08-04 08:19 PM by m-jean03
Just have been making an effort to talk to someone with fingers in their ears who apparently only wants to hear theirself insult other people.

10. I didn't mean to insinuate YOU were pointing the finger!
OH no!

You could try tickling the person, then he/she would remove their fingers from their ears to keep you from tickling them.

Just a suggestion.

11. I've actually been trying the equivalent of that
The person in question is offended by my "tickling" and has asked me to stop.

13. If it's the closest thing you've got
to self-discipline, then it's a grown up thing to do.

Don't you think it's more mature to resolve your issues, though?

I guess it is better than a fistfight.

15. If it's an option to work through your issues,
then that's always the wiser thing to do. In a perfect world, that would always be an option. In reality, sometimes it's not.

16. I just don't see where this person who has refused to listen to reason
Has the high ground to tell ME to "grow up".

But I will pursue it no longer. I really don't care anymore...:)
